Insightful Music was created in 2009 to bridge the gap between music creators and music performers. By using the latest technology available, Insightful Music is attempting to change the way that music is purchased as well as the way in which composers advertise their music.
Conductors and Educators will love working with Insightful Music because of the ease of use. Music can be purchased digitally and be printed out immediately! Or, for those programs that would rather have printed music delivered to their doorstep, music will be delivered in about a week. Run out of copies? Go ahead and make a few! By charging a base price for each piece, Insightful Music is making sure that composers get compensated fairly.
Composers will enjoy working with Insightful Music for a number of reasons. First, composers will ALWAYS keep the copyright for their music. It is our philosophy that it is not ethical for a company to have control of what an individual has created. Second, since music is sold with a higher base price than traditional publishing companies, composers do not have to worry about losing money due to illegal copies. Finally, as Insightful Music grows, composers will gain commissioning opportunities from our clients. Through commissioning projects, composers will earn larger lump sums for working with the intended performing group.

The founders of Insightful Music, Daniel Leeman and Andrew Beard, are both music educators dedicated to encouraging the creation of music. In creating Insightful Music, they aim to help other educators and conductors feel comfortable commissioning music.
